Overview

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will support the aAccounts rReceivable and aAccounts pPayable functions as well as assist with payroll processing within the Accounting Department. Qualified candidates should be comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. A proficient level of Excel skill is expected, as the vast majority of reports will be prepared in Excel. Additionally, you should be adept at learning new technologies, specifically Concur, ADP Workforce Now, and NetSuite, if prior experience is not applicable. Prior payroll experience is not required-we welcome candidates with strong accounting foundations who are eager to learn and grow into the payroll function.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Assist with client invoicing process, including sending invoices to clients and recording payments
* Create and review expense reports and reconcile credit card statements
* Support the payables cycle, including recording invoices and coding expenses
* Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing
* Maintain and review payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
* Reconcile and analyze various general ledger account balances
* Assist with document preparation for the annual financial statement audit
* Ad hoc financial reporting



Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills such as Accounting or Finance is required
* 2-5 years of relevant work experience required; public accounting experience preferred
* Experience with NetSuite preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Communication: excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Organization: detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with a high degree of reliability and accuracy
* Trust and Confidentiality: superior ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
