Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts & Compliance Specialist to support the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts within a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while mitigating contractual and operational risk. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in government contracting, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management



  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including NDAs, subcontracts, and teaming agreements
  • Manage contracts through the full lifecycle, from proposal development to closeout
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Support proposal development and ensure pricing compliance


Compliance & Regulatory Oversight



  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable government regulations
  • Monitor contract performance and proactively identify compliance risks
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits, including DCAA and internal reviews
  • Support export control requirements and data protection standards


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with operations, finance, procurement, and sales teams to support contract execution
  • Interface with government agencies, suppliers, and customers
  • Provide strategic guidance on contractual risk and compliance matters


Reporting & Process Improvement



  • Track contract status, deliverables, and compliance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract lifecycle processes
  • Support internal training initiatives related to compliance and regulatory requirements



Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 2-5+ years of experience in government contracting
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and contract law fundamentals
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills


Preferred



  • Experience with ITAR and export compliance regulations
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Familiarity with ERP or contract management systems
  • CPCM certification
