Electrical Test Engineer (Entry-Level)

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40 hours/week

Employment Type: Contract (Through December, with potential for extension)

Location: On-Site

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support design validation and environmental testing activities for advanced electrical systems. This is a hands-on, lab-based role focused on executing test procedures, collecting data, and supporting engineering validation efforts. Ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers, this opportunity provides strong foundational experience in hardware validation and automotive electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design Validation & Testing



  • Support execution of Design Validation (DV) testing, including LV124 electrical stress testing
  • Assist with E-Fuse inrush current testing, including setup, waveform capture, and preliminary analysis
  • Perform environmental testing using thermal chambers and related lab equipment
  • Ensure testing aligns with internal specifications and engineering requirements


Lab Operations & Equipment



  • Configure and operate oscilloscopes, power supplies, current probes, and electronic loads
  • Maintain safe and organized lab environments during testing activities
  • Support troubleshooting and proper setup of test equipment


Data Collection & Reporting



  • Document test setups, conditions, results, and observations
  • Organize waveform data, plots, and test artifacts for engineering review
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation


Team Collaboration



  • Work closely with senior engineers to ensure test coverage and adherence to schedules
  • Support engineering teams in meeting validation milestones and program goals



Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops acceptable)
  • Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and lab testing practices
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies, and current measurement techniques
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a hands-on lab environment


Preferred



  • Experience working with an OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier
  • Background in a test lab or validation environment
  • Scripting or automation experience for test processes
