The Technical Instructor for Design Services plays a key role in developing and growing VDC designers and drafters at Interstates. This position develops and delivers engaging training that builds technical skills, strengthens leadership capability, and brings Interstates' standards and best practices to life through classroom, hands-on, virtual, and e-learning instruction. Working closely with project leaders, SMEs, and design teams, the instructor helps create impactful learning experiences that improve consistency, quality, and confidence across design services while keeping training aligned with business needs and evolving industry practices. Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Education or Associate Degree in a relevant technical field (Electrical Construction, Automation, Manufacturing, Drafting, Safety) with 3-5 years of adult training experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Travel Requirements: Travel will be required and will vary based on business needs, up to 35% of the time. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $70,040 - $87,550+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience. Application Deadline: June 30th, 2026 Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Blended Office and Construction Environment All employees, even those in traditional office positions may be expected to visit and/or perform work on job sites, requiring flexibility to adapt to diverse environments. Office work is performed primarily in a modern office setting equipped with collaborative tools and technology. Employees will spend significant time operating personal computer equipment, with extended periods of screen time. Noise levels are generally low to moderate, with occasional interruptions from office activity or equipment. Flexibility in work arrangements may allow occasional remote work, depending on the assignment and business needs. Employees may be required to travel to various locations for meetings or project coordination. Jobsite work involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven surfaces, elevated noise levels, and various workplace hazards, including the risk of electrical shock. Adherence to strict safety protocols is essential.
