Your Job

As a CNC Programmer II (1st Shift), you will program, set up, and operate CNC milling centers to produce precision components that meet blueprint requirements, tolerance expectations, and quality standards. You will also document best practices and help develop others through training and mentorship.

Our Team

You will join a machine shop team focused on safety, quality, and ontime delivery. The team works closely with engineering, quality, and production partners to continuously improve machining processes and support business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Program, set up, and operate Fanuc and HAAS CNC milling centers using Mastercam
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to define dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences
  • Produce parts to close tolerances using appropriate gauges and inspection tools
  • Document setups and machining processes using written descriptions, sketches, and/or models to support repeatability and knowledge sharing
  • Train and mentor junior operators and apprentices on setup, safe operation, and process discipline
  • Follow required safety procedures and support a clean, organized work area
  • Support overtime and weekend work when needed to meet production commitments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop priorities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3-7 years of experience in manual machining and CNC setup/programming (including conversational programming)
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC milling centers (Fanuc and/or HAAS)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex machine and component drawings/blueprints
  • Ability to speak/read English and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to train others and share machining knowledge effectively
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Proficiency with Mastercam programming
  • Demonstrated experience documenting setups/processes for repeatability and standard work
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to improve cycle time, quality, or scrap performance through process adjustments
