Customer Service Representative (Call Center) *Location:* Plymouth, Michigan (48170)
*Job Type:* 6-Month Contract-to-Hire *Pay Rate:* $21.00/hour Position Overview We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused *Customer Service Representatives* to join a fast-paced call center environment. This role involves handling a high volume of inbound calls, assisting customers with prior authorizations, general inquiries, and sensitive information while delivering exceptional service and maintaining accuracy. Key Responsibilities * Handle *50-100 inbound calls per day* depending on complexity * Provide support for: * Prior authorization inquiries * General customer questions * Confidential and sensitive information requests * Perform follow-up calls as needed * Accurately *enter and update customer information* across multiple systems * Maintain high standards of *quality, accuracy, and attention to detail* * *Navigate multiple programs to track, document, and communicate customer interactions effectively* Required Qualifications * Minimum *1 year of recent high-volume call center experience* (within the last 2-3 years) * Stable work history (no frequent job changes) * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to type at least *30 words per minute (WPM)* * *Proficiency with computer systems and multitasking across platforms* * *Strong attention to detail and data accuracy* Assessment Requirements Candidates must meet the following benchmarks: * Typing Test: *30 WPM minimum* * *Call Center Telephone Skills Assessment: 75% or higher* Schedule & Training * *Availability Required:* 7 days a week between *5:00 AM - 10:00 PM* (assigned schedule provided) * *Training:* * Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (4 weeks) * Includes 4 tests; *90% average required to pass* * Active participation, note-taking, and completion of coursework are critical * *Mandatory Overtime:* January and February *Shift Assignment:* * Assigned through a *performance-based shift bid* at the end of training Growth & Career Opportunities * Strong internal promotion culture with *long-term career potential* * *Advancement into higher-level roles, including leadership positions* * *Opportunity to promote to Tier 2 Agent (approx. $22/hour)* * *Ability to transition into departments such as:* * *Quality Assurance* * Client Administration * Workforce & Reporting * Management * Many employees successfully convert to full-time within *8-9 months* Additional Benefits (Upon Full-Time Conversion) * Travel, entertainment, and retail discounts * Tuition reimbursement programs * Quarterly bonus eligibility Work Environment This is a* growth-focused environment* with a strong track record of internal advancement.
