Job Description

The School of Accountancy at the Trulaske College of Business has an immediate opening for an Executive Assistant. This position is responsible for office and administrative coordination for the School, and provides assistance to its 150-Hour & Master's Programs Director and Assistant Director, faculty, and PhD students. Duties encompass both administrative and fiscal responsibilities.

This position serves as Executive Assistant to the Director of the School of Accountancy and liaised with faculty, students, and alumni on a variety of administrative, scheduling, and paperwork matters.

Administrative duties include:
* Organize School of Accountancy events and functions (e.g., advisory board meetings, faculty meetings, corporate and accounting firm events)
* Help set up various speaker events (e.g., symposia, educational forums, research workshops, alumni visits)
* Prepare alumni and donor correspondence.
* School of Accountancy class scheduling needs, including managing reservations for the various events
* Coordinate public relations materials and gifts (e.g., newsletter, fact sheets, event announcements, poster boards, portfolios)
* Handle itineraries and various logistics for faculty and Ph.D. student recruiting as well as research workshop visitors.
* Assist with faculty & staff award nomination packages and promotion & tenure (P&T) dossiers and maintains all personnel and donor office files.

Fiscal duties include:
* Reimbursement processes
* Account reconciliation, balances and budgets
* Student scholarship processing
* Alumni donation tracking and reporting.
* Manage student graduate assistant appointments
* Assist with new electronic compliance systems for faculty recruiting and reimbursements
* Interface on departmental budgets and reimbursements for student organizations
* Process all invoices as needed.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8-5. Some additional hours may be required, with prior notice.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, good verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills are necessary. Significant prior administrative experience is preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft accounting systems, myZou, and other MU computerized systems and procedures is highly preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.87 - $25.00/hr

Grade: GGS-008
