Program Assistant SR Requisition ID: 2026-10265 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Program Management & Support Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Non-Exempt College: College of Arts & Sciences Department: Mathematics & Statistics Advertised Salary: Minimum $45,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits Overview The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Utah State University is seeking a Program Assistant Sr. This position will include a variety of administrative and support responsibilities relating to department programs. This position includes extensive interaction with faculty, students, and other staff, and is a full time, in person 8am to 5pm 40 hours per week benefited position. The department is one of the university's largest, with 50 faculty across 7 campuses statewide, 5 staff, approximately 80 student employees, approximately 60 graduate students, and more than 200 undergraduate majors. Each year more than 8,000 students (more than 25% of the university's total enrollment) take courses from the department's programs. In addition to its undergraduate and graduate programs, the department maintains active faculty research programs across a wide range of areas in pure mathematics, applied mathematics / mathematical biology, mathematics / statistics education, and statistics / data science.
