What to Expect
As a Staff Construction Project Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of a wide spectrum of construction projects, ranging from fast-paced scopework to complex utility infrastructure and central utility builds. This positioniswithinSelf Perform Construction , withanemphasis on project execution onsite at GFTX. You will execute work as an internal mechanical contractor forSelf PerformConstruction, collaborating with internal project teams, design professionals, and key stakeholders to drive projects frominceptionto completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with specifications. Your strong organizational abilities, technical acumen, and communication skills will be essential in navigating diverse project demands and fostering seamless coordination across all phases of construction.

What You'll Do
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scopes of work, detailed schedules, and budgets tailored to fast-paced initiatives or intricate utility infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with project superintendents and teams to define clearobjectives, deliverables, and timelines, adapting to varying project complexities from quick-turnaround scope work to large-scale central utility developments
  • Work closely with design teams, architects, and engineers to review and refine plans, specifications, and drawings, includingidentifyingand resolving design conflicts in utility systems and infrastructure builds
  • Manage andmaintainessential project documentation, such as contracts, permits, change orders, RFIs, and detailed progress reports, ensuring accuracy and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, local authorities, building codes, and industry standards, with a focus on safety in utility and infrastructure environments
  • Track and audit project finances, including costs, invoices, and billings; compare actuals to budgets; and proactivelyidentifycost-saving measures or value engineering options tooptimizeproject efficiency
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, site walkthroughs, and progress reviews tomonitormilestones, address challenges, andalign onupcoming activities across diverse project types

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of progressive construction project management experience, withdemonstratedsuccess in planning and executing projects involving mechanical, plumbing, process systems, utility infrastructure, or central utility builds
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, safety protocols, and best practices for utility and infrastructure projects, including relative knowledge in ASME 31.1 Process Piping Code
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance, cross-functional environment with tight deadlines and ambitious targets; comfortable with long hours and a proactive, goal-oriented mindset
  • Proficiencyin project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project,BlueBeam) and adept atutilizinginternal project tracking tools formanpowerforecasting, resource loading, and funding objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making; confident in leading stakeholders and resolving complex issues in fast-paced or technically demanding settings
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, dry and wet mechanical installations, and utility infrastructure; preference for backgrounds in data centers, chiller plants, or similar high-stakes construction environments
