At SES Space & Defense, you'll work alongside a mission-driven team committed to integrity, honor, and accountability, delivering real-world impact across today's most critical missions. What You'll Do / Impact You'll Own: The AISR Operations Center Technician will provide tier 1 satellite and network operations support. The Technician is part of a team that ensures the effective monitoring, control, and configuration of a global satellite communications network including forward deployed satellite earth terminals and embedded network communications equipment. These sites provide government users with transport of full motion video to remote sites. The Technician will provide daily operational support for hub and remote systems supporting global satellite networks. As an integral part of the team, the Technician's tasking will include shift work including some weekends and holidays. Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user training where required.
Who You Are / Impact You'll Own: You are a technically grounded operator with experience in network, SATCOM, or RF environments, and you perform well in real-time, mission-critical settings where uptime and precision matter. You are comfortable monitoring global networks, troubleshooting issues under pressure, and taking action to restore service quickly, especially in support of full motion video and ISR-related operations. You bring a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and satellite communications fundamentals, along with the ability to work across tools, systems, and teams to diagnose and resolve issues. You are disciplined and detail-oriented, maintaining accurate records, managing tickets, and communicating clearly with both customers and internal stakeholders. Above all, you are dependable and mission-focused, contributing to a team responsible for delivering continuous, high-quality communications support to government users in dynamic operational environments.
