In this internship, you'll work alongside Extension Specialists who are subject matter experts turning research into practical, real-world solutions. You'll contribute to projects that address current challenges while building skills in areas such as data collection, analysis, or research communication. Work may include a combination of field, office, and occasional remote tasks, depending on the project. Responsibilities Integrated Pest Management in Tree Fruit and Vegetable Crops Research & Evaluation Conduct field sampling and maintain insect colonies Use a university vehicle to conduct field sampling and transport samples to the laboratory. Advertised Salary $14.00 an hour ADA This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
