Position Overview:

The Maintenance Specialist primary responsibility will be to make sure the retorts are clear of debris and able to function and run efficiently.

Responsibilities:

* Review production schedule and identify time requirements for retorts processes that could incur glass breakage, while being agile and able to react quickly to changing situations and schedules.

* Ensure proper material and parts are prepared and ready for when glass breakage could occur.

* Provide production support and guidance to machine operators regarding glass breakage in the retorts to reduce downtime.

* Become proficient with lean manufacturing initiatives.

* Implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize retort cleaning processes to reach optimum product quality, efficiency, and process repeatability at the lowest cost.

* Properly clean and store any secondary equipment.

* Provide minor repairs and replacement of secondary parts.

* Estimate timing for repair through documenting work orders in AMMS.

* Review manuals. Blueprints and supply catalogues to aid in troubleshooting.

* Maintain spare part availability in conjunction with the parts administrator.

* Keep accurate counts for all retort parts.

* Communicate and fully cooperate with Production Team Leaders, Maintenance team, and coworkers in all aspects of the job

* Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime as needed.

* Maintains, services and conducts minor repairs on buildings and equipment as needed.

* Performs a variety of semiskilled duties as assigned.

* Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Successfully completed, enrolled or willing to enroll in technical college cohorts program

* Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.

* Lean Manufacturing experience and certification desired.

* Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desired.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.

* Responsible for adherence of quality control guidelines and good manufacturing practices (GMP's).

* Ability to multi-task and work independently.

* Knowledge of computer skills in basic MS Office suite.

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.

Hours, Location and Pay:

We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. Hours are 545am-6pm on a non-rotating 2-2-3 schedule. This position is at Horseshoe Beverage in Neenah, WI.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
