Position Title: HR Specialist

Work Location: North Chicago, IL 60064

Assignment Duration: 6 Months

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary: This role is part of the HRConnect People Experience team. Hiring 2 bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates.

Background & Context: Role supports a shared services HR environment handling employee inquiries across the full employee lifecycle. Scope includes onboarding, pre-hire (I-9), through termination and retirement. Role involves handling high-volume employee inquiries via phone. This role is broader in scope, acting as a knowledge expert across HR topics. Strong emphasis on Spanish-speaking ability and I-9 experience (both are required). Candidates will regularly interact with Spanish-speaking employees, including Puerto Rico-based employees. Approx. 5-6 Spanish-related calls per day (estimated). Spanish-speaking and I-9 requirements are critical gaps currently in the team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for delivering excellent customer service using strong communication skills and a professional first impression to all visitors.

* Responsible for effectively dealing with difficult or challenging visitors or personnel. * Work with the purchasing system to issue shopping carts / purchase orders for the site.

* Coordinate lunch / refreshments as needed for important site visitors.

* Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Qualification & Experience:

* Must be fluent in Spanish (speaking ability will be tested).

* Must have I-9 experience.

* Experience handling high-volume employee inquiries.

* General HR knowledge across employee lifecycle.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

Experience with ServiceNow.

Experience with Workday.

Experience with Salesforce, UKG, or similar systems.

Experience Guidance from HM: Spanish fluency and I-9 experience are required.

Candidates without I-9 experience will not be considered. Candidates without Spanish-speaking ability will not be considered.

Phone experience is helpful but can be trained if I-9 experience is strong.
