Summary

As a Senior Scrum Master/Requirements Manager, you will combine your expertise in Agile methodologies with your analytical skills to lead a technically diverse team focused on data engineering, AI, and analytics. You will facilitate collaboration between product managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of innovative solutions. Karsun offers a portfolio of Enterprise Modernization services to both civilian and defense Federal agencies, including esteemed clients such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. General Services Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Analyze and document business requirements, translating them into user stories and tasks that the team can execute.
  • Support the team in defining and documenting acceptance criteria for user stories using the given-when-then format.
  • Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, encouraging team members to share ideas and feedback.
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and facilitate problem-solving discussions to keep the team on track.
  • Work closely with technical leads to ensure that implementation steps and deliverables align with the overall project vision and objectives.
  • Monitor team performance and provide insights to stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to team processes, workflows, and best practices as needed.
  • Produce meeting minutes and summarize key decision points at the conclusion of discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Agile project management and business analysis, with a focus on low code application development platforms like Appian, data engineering, AI, and analytics.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with architecture, development, and testing teams to interpret and refine requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Rally, and Mural.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference for candidates located in the eastern, central, or mountain time zones.
  • Experience working with U.S. federal government clients.
  • Familiarity with acceptance test-driven delivery and usability testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of Product Management principles and practices.
  • Experience facilitating training sessions and demos for end users.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus

Salary Range

The proposed salary range for this role is $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Karsun considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
