Pro-Active Engineering is looking for a Final Assembly Operator. This position is responsible for supervising production employees within their assigned area while performing the work required for specific specialized assignments. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Functions
1. Trimming, clipping, tinning of wires and leads.
2. Assemble wire harnesses and ribbon cables to PCB assemblies.
3. Final box build assembly using hand and power tools.
4. Solder thru-hole components and wires per IPC-A-610 class 2 standards.
5. In process inspection of thru-hole components to class 2 standards.
6. Work toward continuous improvement of assigned area.
7. Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
8. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, use fine hand motor skills/dexterity, use repetitive motions, and lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
Required Education and Experience


  1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  2. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment.
  3. Ability to perform basic thru-hole component soldering on printed circuit boards to IPC standards.
  4. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Preferred Education and Experience


  1. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  2. Strong mechanical aptitude.
