Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

COST ANALYST 2

JOB DESIGNATION: The Cost Analyst II supports the Business Development Function and reports to Sales Manager at the Simi Valley facility.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and maintenance of departmental databases and periodical reports.
  • Develop sales forecast.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor basic project plans and deliverables.
  • Lead the development and management of account plans that include both short and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Manage RFQs (Request for Quotations) for selected customers.
  • Support proposal managers by sharing research and intel to Win Business and increase market share.
  • Execute financial business case modeling.
  • Prepare and edit internal presentations to support critical decision making by senior management.
  • Liaison between various departments as determined by manager for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to organize and prepare material for Trade shows.
  • Assist aftermarket to develop sales forecast and products to include/exclude from price list.
  • As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor data to recognize and determine market capture plan.
  • Assist with the integration of new products and services within the proposal system, including updating, rewriting and editing the various databases used in creating proposals.

Job Specifications

Education requirement: Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems or business administration, or equivalent experience.

Years Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing industry

Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve.

Preferred (But not necessary):

  • Background in engineering/Business Engineering/Finance
  • Passion for Aerospace/Engineering Projects

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $83250 to $138550 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
