Overview
The Asset Team Leader (ATL) position is accountable for developing and driving the development and commercialization strategy for the lead assets SKL35501/2, SKL37321/2, and ROR1. The ATL will lead a cross-functional Asset Team (AT) to deliver on program goals from proof of concept (POC) data generation through EOP2 to Regulatory submissions, approval, and eventual launches. The ATL drives the effective integration and execution of the development and eventual commercialization strategies in partnership with the functional leads within the organization as well as senior leaders throughout the company. The ATL will be responsible for endorsing and integrating line function strategies and acts as lead "voice" of the Asset Team and the program at internal Governance and with external Advisors. The position will report to the Head of RPT Division.
Responsibilities
Leads cross-functional Asset Team to develop, adapt and drive an integrated product development strategy which considers near and long-term cross functional impacts as well as region and country perspectives for the lead asse
- Works closely to influence, advise and coordinate strategic and operational efforts across all key line functions, including Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Clin Pharm, Regulatory, Portfolio teams, Finance, Commercial and Pharmacovigilance supporting a consolidated Asset strategy
- Closely drives operations strategy including CRO oversight with the clin ops team
- Help navigate CDMO and CMC related matters alongside clinical development
- Together with Project Manager, manages timelines, team meeting agendas, scenario and risk mitigation planning, budget reviews and goal setting
- Partners with executive management and governance committees to address program needs, issues, resources and recommendations. Ensures that presentations and other product communications are clear and effective.
- Drives team objective setting and prioritization, and ensures adherence to plan and strategy
- Creates a positive team environment that instills trust, encourages timely information sharing (including regular program updates, particularly around important program milestones) and ensures clear transparent communications to align around the overall goal/vision for the product
- Models and expects effective team behavior to achieve project goals
- Works with external experts including external thought leaders and scientific advisors, and other partners to develop and execute a global development strategy that delivers on the shared vision of the product
- Promotes a culture of innovation within Asset Team to bring forward creative development plans that maximize the potential of the assets
- In response to program needs, will be called upon to lead hiring and management of key support staff, such as Project Managers, to ensure program development execution in partnership with cross functional experts
Qualifications
- Ph.D., MBA or advanced degree in biomedical sciences or one of the disciplines related to drug development preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, academic and/or medical research environments [particularly radiopharmaceuticals]
- Minimum of 8 years of drug development experience at a Sponsor company, at least 3 of which was in project management or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience working on early phase product development, including regulatory filings
- Proven ability to lead and influence data-driven strategic planning and implementation
- Experience working with corporate partners and alliance management
- Proven ability to function effectively across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and constituents, with the ability and strength to focus a team to work towards its goals
- Proven ability to operate across global territories with demonstrated experience in delivering programs on time and on budget
