Salary range: $75.00 - $82.00 per hour DOE

Position Summary

We are immediately seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join ourmotivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES)Division and support our Net Enabled Weapons (NEW) training team in the San Diego, CA or Virginia Beach, VA area.

The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class training, products, and support directly to fleet aviators and Special Operations Forces (SOF). As part of ACES, the NEW team provides the latest information on aircraft software features, weapon functionality, and associated kill webs to warfighters so that they may be successful in combat.

The NEW training program is dynamic and challenging as the team delivers between four and six Network Enabled Weapon University (NEW-U) courses per year and supports multiple naval exercises and experiments across the globe. Travel locations include all domestic Fleet concentration areas as well as Europe, Asia and Australia. A member of the NEW team can expect to travel for up to two weeks per month in support of warfighter training.

Responsibilities



  • Research, process, and articulate complex technical material for meaningful and engaging presentation to fleet Naval Aviators, Combat Air Force (CAF), and SOF assets
  • Conduct professional, in-person training to both large and small groups of aircrew and operators with varied experience levels
  • Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of eight years as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
  • Must be familiar with Tactical Data Links, Multi-Domain Fires, and JTAC Training & doctrine
  • Familiarity and expertise with Over the Horizon Targeting (OTH-T) and associated advanced kill webs
  • Travel (30%) to various work site in the U.S. and overseas. Occasionally up to 50% monthly
  • Active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility
  • SAP program eligibility
  • Valid state driver license
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check


Desired Experience/Skills



  • Extensive experience with the design, implementation, and delivery courseware to fires personnel including practical application, required crypto, and hardware setup.
  • Extensive JTAC experience and graduate-level credentials in Tactical Data Links, Joint Fires Integration, instruction, and Tactics Technique and Procedure (TTP) development
  • Experience working with operational, training, and test organizations in addition to acquisition program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
  • Excellent customer service and networking skills
  • Ability to conduct professional, in-person training to both large and small groups of aircrew and SOF entities with varied levels of experience
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
