Performs basic welding work, to specifications, as part of the manufacturing process. Performs set-up of welding equipment and safety devices in accordance with production documentation. Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications. Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation. Performs work in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met. Selects and moves production materials as required. Lifting/moving material up to 75 lbs. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area. Notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
YOU HAVE:
High School diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of welding experience. Bend, squat down, and reach above your head Climb stairs and ladders Lift and carry at least 25 pounds Work in confined spaces Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines. Self-Motivating Identify and escalate non-conforming process, product, or environmental issues Ability to work with a team as a part of an agile and flexible workforce Effective verbal and written communication Detail-oriented

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour
