Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Greenville, NC. Interested?

Here's what you'd do

  • Chemical Mixers are responsible for mixing raw materials to create finished products according to formulations.
  • Set up and operate mixing tanks, blenders, scales, pumps, granulators, fluid bed dryers, and other assigned equipment.
  • Weigh and dispense liquid and powder ingredients into mixing equipment according to the formulations.
  • Ensure raw materials are added correctly with the right weights.
  • Obtain and understand all documentation for making batches.
  • Ensures correct raw materials are used for each batch.
  • Ensure all raw material containers used are properly sealed, labeled, clean, and returned to inventory.
  • Follow lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
  • Refer issues/problems to the lead/supervisor person(s).
  • Communicate with material handlers and packers when materials are needed, and batches are ready to pack.
  • Complete all paperwork and batch documentation on time.
  • Observe safety requirements set forth by the company.
  • Use SAP as needed for Production.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with chemical mixing, batch processing, or manufacturing operations.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating
  • procedures, product recipes, and material identification.
  • Have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Able to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Have a valid forklift certification.
  • Previous experience in chemical mixing and blending.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Able to manipulate 55-gallon drums of chemicals.
  • Able to manipulate powder bags up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to drive a forklift.
