JOB SUMMARY |
The Engineering Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Engineering Manager and is exposed to key information, which requires complete trustworthiness and ability to retain information confidentially. Duties require detailed knowledge of practices as applied to the entire Engineering Department. Accuracy, neatness, dexterity and speed are required to perform word processing, numerical and clerical assignments. This individual must be able to maintain a fast and accurate pace even with many interruptions. |
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Administrator of the Technical Advisories, Engineering Instructions, Material Standards, and the material specifications update and tracking process on WORD/LAN documents, handwritten manuscripts, or in simple routine cases, based on verbal information.
- Coordinates maintenance of the Engineering Plotters.
- Works with Sales Project Managers and Sales Coordinators to ensure correct Customer drawings and paperwork are shipped out on time.
- Creates and ships Customer instruction books.
- Plots Shop Paper work and sends to shop in timely manner.
- Types and revises letters, memos, reports (Engineering), and other confidential data based on WORD/LAN documents, handwritten manuscripts, or in simple routine cases, based on verbal information.
- Files documents into order folders, maintains order folders and order folder file.
- Sends, receives and files Email communications.
- Orders office supplies such as pen, papers, binders, etc., for general office purposes and orders drafting/CAD supplies.
- Organizes individual engineering reports, and publishes a Monthly Status report for engineering personnel and senior staff.
- Supports all the responsibilities of the Engineering Coordinator to maintain the production schedule.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
Required Education / Experience
- Associates degree in business administration or a related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of PC's, printing, plotting and general office processes
Physical Demands Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs of bound materials to prepare and process for shipment.
