GENERAL FUNCTION

Lead new and complex technology project launches into Luxottica's fleet of Doctor Offices in all Retail Brands in North America. Drive and develop project roadmaps leading cross-discipline and cross-brand teams to execute projects on-time and on budget. Proactively develop project strategies, tools resources, and lead stakeholder meetings, working closely with team members across all levels to ensure project requirements are on track.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Proactively leads cross-discipline and cross-brand team members to ensure projects are on track, recommending efficiencies and adjustments as appropriate.
  • Leads project delivery and implementation strategy planning and processes.
  • Streamlines processes and drives value to the brands by ensuring projects consistently meet or exceed expectations for on-time delivery and with excellence.
  • Evaluates tools and training needs to elevate project performance at implementation.
  • Identifies project risks and develops alternative solutions to drive seamless project outcomes.
  • Meets with project team members to identify and resolve issues timely.
  • Ensures appropriate visibility to brand partners of status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  • Establishes and delivers effective project communication plans and ensures proper execution.
  • Facilitates change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the doctors/stores.
  • Ensures resources and processes are maximized for optimal return.
  • Identifies and develops new opportunities with key partners.
  • Drives Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve strategic objectives and goals.
  • Confirms doctor/store acceptance of project deliverables.
  • Conducts post project evaluation and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements; creates improvements from learnings.
  • Provides project management training to technical teams when required and serves as a project management expert to team members.
  • Works with brand project leads for scheduling and resource management.
  • Generates and presents tracking documents for project implementation to Senior Management.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related degree
  • 8+ years' experience in project management
  • Experience as a construction project manager, IT project manager or ERP project manager
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
  • Able to lead project teams of various sizes and see project(s) through to completion
  • Comfortable working in a variety of settings and variety of team dynamics including but not limited to brand/retail, clinical/doctor, and IT
  • Able to learn, operate and train others in the use of ophthalmic equipment
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills
  • Budget management experience



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
