Director, Amazon Sales - Hybrid

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This sales position is responsible for driving revenue and profitability growth within their assigned channel of business.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • 20%: Develop and execute annual operating plan

    • Negotiates annual vendor terms to create customer and company value





    • Drive profitable revenue growth by successfully selling against annual/season goals and increasing market share.



  • Accountable to account financials including margin, co-op rebates, markdowns, etc.
  • Utilizes information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits



    • Work collaboratively with CPFR/Demand Planning to provide forecasts at the program, product, and SKU level.



  • 40%: Develop and achieve both short and long-term Amazon development strategies

    • Deliver consumption and sales growth targets for Crayola and Amazon
    • Build customer relationships across multiple levels within the Amazon GL
    • Foster relationships with Amazon in-stock teams to improve inventory health, reduce out of stocks and improve cash conversion
    • Leverages product mix to improve profitability and meet targets
    • Collaborates with marketing teams to provide and explain market data that informs and directs activation decisions and new product development
    • Leads planning cycle for three-year customer plans


  • 25%: Lead and develop a team

    • Manages relationship with talent acquisition to search, interview and recruit talent
    • Trains and develops new recruits
    • Mentors existing team members to achieve company goals and individual development goals
    • Leads career pathing for direct reports


  • 15%: Spearhead education, capability development and business intelligence

    • Develop wider enterprise expertise of the customer through education
    • Build best in class customer tools and processes that drive efficiency
    • Leverage automation and ML expertise to evolve ways of working and give the enterprise a competitive advantage




JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of direct and hands-on experience in ecommerce
  • Experience developing and managing trade budgets
  • History of negotiating terms with Amazon
  • Demonstrated experience and results with account penetration at higher management levels
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly
  • Interpersonal savvy: an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce desired tangible outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
  • Moderately advanced computer skills within Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to travel 15-25%
