Position Summary: The Analyst, Fleet Crew Training provides administrative and analytical support for pilot training programs, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and applicable CBAs. The Analyst coordinates training data, tracks qualifications, and supports safety initiatives, including Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) within the Training Center. This role involves completing complex tasks, proposing process improvements, and collaborating across departments to support training effectiveness and operational safety. Effective communication is essential, as the role regularly interfaces with cross-functional teams, leadership, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure training program integrity and continuous operational excellence.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all new instructors; support the Senior Manager, Fleet Crew Training in onboarding of full-time and part-time instructors.


  • Manage and maintain instructor qualification records using the AIMS software; track expirations and ensure timely updates to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate with Training Scheduling and Training Records teams to support forecasting and training resource planning.
  • In partnership with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), develop and maintain Training Center Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) through the flight operations database.


    • Gather and analyze risk-related data from SMEs to assess the hazards associated with the relevant change or new system.
    • Evaluate risk controls and ensure implementation and documentation meet safety requirements.


  • Track and coordinates Flight Operations manual submissions for Part 119 Director of Operations approval. Collaborate with Sr. Director Certificate Management and Manager, Safety Assurances on all safety related factors for Training Center and Flight Standards.
  • Manage the Flight Operations Training Manual (FOTM) revision cycle, including processing updates from content owners and issuing manual bulletins outside of standard revision timelines.
  • Track and monitor Training Center Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), ensuring timely implementation and closure of controls. Monitor and track the workflow initiated by Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) developed in response to FAA findings or compliance action letters, ensuring timely coordination across all required events and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the weekly Flight Operations Open Voluntary Disclosure Reporting (VDR) meetings, reporting Training Center-related updates and safety controls.
  • Represent the Training Center in twice-weekly Flight Operations interface meetings to report training metrics and progress to the Sr. Director, Flight Operations and Senior Director, Certificate Management.
  • Collect and evaluate below-standards data to determine remedial training needs; coordinate record submissions with Training Records department to the Pilot Records Database (PRD).
  • Review individual crewmember schedules and ensure assigned instructors/evaluators are equipped with required remedial documentation.
  • Monitor student progress and determine if Training Review Board (TRB) engagement is required, support FAA reporting as applicable. Provide end-to-end administrative support for the Training Review Board (TRB), ensuring efficient coordination and documentation.


    • Collect and organize trainee data for reporting to the TRB, Union representatives, and Senior Leadership.
    • Prepare detailed Training Summaries outlining each trainee's training history for TRB review.
    • Gather student progress data to generate Counseling Records for the Fleet Captain as needed.
    • Schedule and coordinate TRB meetings; serve as a witness to document meeting minutes and record outcomes.
    • Communicate TRB decisions and results to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.


  • Generate monthly Check Pilot Activity Reports via AIMS for each fleet and submit them to FAA Aircrew Program Managers (APMs).
  • Submit unsatisfactory notifications to FAA via Veoci system, under Senior Manager, Fleet Crew Training guidance.
  • Maintain various activity and performance reports; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with training regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Fleet Crew Training.



Qualifications:



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in flight operations, training coordination, or aviation compliance preferred.
  • Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) related to air carrier approved training programs and crewmember qualifications (part 121 subparts N and O) preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with the AIMS software is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting tools.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
