Job Summary:

The Management Consulting Experienced Manager is part of a Management Consulting (MC) team supporting projects in the areas of Strategy & 80/20, Back Office & Finance Transformation, Site Selection, M&A and Post-Merger Integration and Supply Chain.

Job Duties:



  • Acts as primary contact for clients on strategic transformations regarding all questions and information, including progress, challenges encountered, and issues identified
  • Provides exceptional client service and develops advanced level deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
  • Establishes engagement budget, provides recommendations for project scope and underlying pricing changes, as needed
  • Prepares periodic and timely billings, and manages adjustments to engagement realization, as needed.
  • Manages the engagement and underlying economics to ensure engagement metrics are achieved
  • Identifies, grows and maintains strategic relationships with client personnel, including members of client management
  • Responsible for engagement management on client projects across MC including development of client strategies, preparation of deliverables, facilitating client meetings, and coordinating meeting follow-up. Identifies new business opportunities to expand the MC practice and communicates such opportunities to his/her engagement superiors
  • Participates in strategy, marketing and business development activities within practice
  • Drafts reports, and completes research, when needed
  • Administers strategic project plans, managing tasks closely to ensure they are being completed in a timely manner
  • Documents strategic transformation information from internal project meetings
  • Coordinates meetings with the management team and the project team
  • Provides regular status updates on the implementation, tracks gaps/issues and escalating issues with management as necessary
  • Fosters a positive demeanor, learning attitude and client service mentality with staff and seniors
  • Able to travel 25% to perhaps as much as 50% of the time, as needed
  • Other duties as required


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Supervises the day-to-day workload of MC Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product
  • Ensures MC Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant software
  • Evaluates the performance of MC Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development
  • Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for MC Senior Associates and Associates in accordance with Firm guidance
  • Acts as mentor to MC Senior Associates and Associates, as appropriate
  • Tenacious ownership of internal projects driving to completion


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Finance, Business Administration, or Technology, preferred


Experience:



  • Six (6) or more years of experience with internal or external strategy and planning project management to include gap analysis of long- and short-term goals, required
  • Four (4) or more years of professional experience within strategic transformation with a proven ability to translate strategy into action that drives clear and measurable outcomes, required
  • Ability to lead, quickly adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways with all levels of leadership, required
  • Expert-level ability in managing and driving execution on all aspects of multiple projects at one time to include that complex in nature, required
  • Strong strategic analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills, required
  • Strong cross-functional business acumen, project planning, scoping and management skills, required
  • Client facing consulting experience or management advisory, preferred
  • Manufacturing and Distribution industry experience, preferred


License/Certifications:



  • PMI, PMP, Change Management certification, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $100,000 - $160,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $160,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $160,000
