Title: Ballistics Engineer Location: Independence, MO Salary: $101,300 - $152,000 Olin Winchester, LLC ("Winchester"), considered one of the world's leading ammunition manufacturers, is seeking a Ballistics Engineer to work at the US Army's premier small caliber manufacturing facility located in Independence, MO. Focus: The Ballistics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing specialized small caliber ammunition and related systems from concept through implementation. This role leads ballistic test method development, analyzes performance data, ensures compliance with technical and regulatory requirements, and supports capital equipment and automation initiatives. The position collaborates cross-functionally to improve product quality, performance, and cost efficiency while conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
