Responsibilities

Bruker OST LLC is a premier manufacturer of high performance superconducting wires. We are currrently hiring for a new opportunity as a Production Technican on 2nd shift out of our Carteret, NJ location. This is an exiciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery on our prroduction floor.

Key Responsibilities:

    Operate high tech equipment and advanced machinery in the production manufacturing floor
  • Should assist and support maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment in a Proficient level.
  • Preventative maintenance on all required production work orders.
  • Ensure that manufacturing targets are being met and that the product is to the correct quality standard.
  • Ensure area control plans and standard work is being followed
  • Contribute to, and ensure compliance with, process improvements in area.
  • Ensure correct and safe working practices are being followed, that workplaces are maintained to the correct standard (7S), and that all area metrics are being correctly measured.
  • Be able to train, and supports the training effort by participating in production activities to help reinforce the training of others
  • Interface with quality and process engineers when procedural changes are introduced to ensure compliance with MSI procedures and routings, ie 'standard work'.
  • Use problem solving and root cause analysis skills to better provide corrective action when required.
  • Maintain area visual displays. (White boards, metrics etc...)


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Trade School Diploma or Associate's Degree is Required.
  • At least 5 years of Manufacturing experience required
  • Ability to work with complex machinery
  • Must have basic math and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures and calibrated equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrate some ability to use problem solving skills to find root causes and apply effective counter measures.
  • Must have work authorization in the US, no sponsorship is available for this opportunity.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated hourly range for this full-time position is between $26.00/hr and $30.00/hr and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Please note this position is eligible for Overtime compensation. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
