Kratos has an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO for aiSubcontracts Manager Team Lead with the following job responsibilities:



  • Assists in preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of Government subcontracts.
  • Assists in creation and administration of purchase orders and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as FAR and DFAR (and other) applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assists in reviewing and approving contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of Government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of T&Cs.
  • Serve as the customer point of contact for all contractual matters during all phases of contract formation and administration to include legal requirements, contract terms, intellectual property and data rights, customer specifications, and government regulations.
  • Responsible for management and administration of subcontracts and ensures compliance with corporate policies and FAR and DFAR and other applicable laws and regulations, as well as overseeing the administration of all customer, subcontractors, vendors, and strategic partner contracts.
  • Evaluates contracts for conformance with company policies, practices, and standards to meet business objectives and to ensure compliance with customer specifications and government regulations.
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions proposals, subcontracts, modifications, and other types of agreements (non-disclosure and teaming agreements, memorandums of understanding, etc.).
  • Provide active, creative, and business oriented solutions as part of reviewing solicitations, statement of works, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Assist in the evaluation of organizational conflict of interest (OCI) issues and prepare mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Makes decisions on wide ranging contract actions that are not well defined or lack precedence.
  • Provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
  • Perform basic administration of subcontracts such as execute contract processing, assist with project set-up, review invoices, monitor cost and schedule, and closeout.
  • Manage centralized file storage and documentation system for all contract-related materials.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relations both internally and externally.
  • LEADS TEAM OF 3-5 people between a Subcontracts group consisting of KTTS and KS1 personnel.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration, or related field. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2-5 years of direct contract management and administration experience with federal, commercial, and international contracts. This experience should include the review of solicitations, terms and conditions and special provisions, as well as preparing proposals in response to government RFP requirements and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of legal implications and requirements of contract clauses including contract administration functions required to ensure compliance with contract documents and monitor subcontractor performance, negotiate necessary changes, and resolve issues.
  • Experience with managing and administrating various contract types (CR, T&M, FFP, IDIQ, etc.) to include working with intellectual property and data rights.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and other government procurement regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Word & Excel).
  • Strong writing, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • CPCM, CFCM, or DAWIA Level II-III certification desired.
  • SharePoint experience
  • Costpoint experience
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary: $150,000
