The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Summer Intern within the Training Services Department for the Junior Digital Marketing Specialist Intern role. This is a remote position with limited travel. Working in Eastern Standard Time is preferred.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2026 Summer Internship program will run from Monday June 1, 2026, and concludes on Friday, August 7, 2026.

The Junior Digital Marketing Specialist Intern will be responsible for implementing new UX designs across the full /local/ page set, ensuring modern, user-friendly layouts. The Intern will contribute to a key initiative aimed at modernizing a highvisibility section of our digital ecosystem. The intern will support transforming these pages into modern, userfriendly, ADAcompliant experiences aligned with updated program information and current UX best practices.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  • Update and validate course information so that all content reflects the latest program structures, requirements, and standards.
  • Improve ADA accessibility by following best practices in structure, markup, and content adjustments.
  • Collaborate with UX and Marketing (Product, SEO/SEM, Operations) teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all updated pages.
  • May support unit with research of the project.
  • Typically analyze data, present facts, and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain changing logs and databases for the project (supporting version control).
  • Assist with the analysis of business benefit before, during and after implementation of the project.
  • Conduct unit-specific responsibilities.

Standard Schedule: Monday- Friday standard business hour.

The salary for this position is $20.00 an hour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education: High School or equivalent required. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours

Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE: (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel (required), Word or equiv (required), Access, Outlook, TEAMS, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to take direction remotely and/or in-person.
  • HTML proficiency for accurate and accessible content updates.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing and updating large volumes of content.
