NATURE AND SCOPE:


The Treasury Management Business Development Team Lead is responsible for driving the growth of treasury management services through business development, relationship expansion, and leadership of the Treasury Management Business Development team. This role leads strategic sales initiatives, partners with commercial banking teams, and managers the Treasury Management Officers to deliver consultative solutions that enhance member relationships and generate non-interest income. The Team Lead serves as a subject matter expert for treasury management products and services while supporting the development and execution of strategies that align with the organization's business banking objectives. This position reports to the VP, Treasury Management Manager.


REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred with a minimum of 7 years of banking or credit union experience, including treasury management or cash management sales . Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation a plus.
3. Prior experience leading teams, mentoring sales professionals, or managing strategic initiatives preferred.
4. Ability to influence, guide and motivate team members and collaborate across multiple departments.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of Treasury Management solutions and well versed in products that support businesses with automation, account reconciliation, and efficiencies gained by implementing banking technology.
6. Proven track record of successful business development and revenue generation.
7. Ability to clearly understand and articulate client needs, resulting in delivering solutions.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint for presentations.
9. Ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
10. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
11. Proven ability to independently organize work, balance multiple priorities and manage a variety of duties in a high-volume work environment with strong attention to detail.
12. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to the position; must understand and comply with all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Identify new Treasury Management relationships externally as well as internally.
2. Lead, mentor, and support Treasury Management Business Development Officers to achieve individual and team sales goals.
3. Provide guidance on consultative sales strategies, product positioning, and treasury solution design.
4. Monitor sales pipeline activity and performance metrics, ensuring accountability and consistent results.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key business members, prospects, and internal partners, serving as a trusted advisor to members regarding treasury optimization, payments strategy, and operational efficiencies.
6. Cross-sell Treasury Management products and bring new ideas to existing members.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key business members, prospects, and internal partners; supporting retention and expansion of high-value business relationships
8. Communicate expectations and timelines effectively when onboarding new clients or new products.
9. Review and recommend business deposit products and treasury management services based on current and emerging industry trends.
10. Perform annual reviews and risk assessments for remote deposit capture, wire and ACH relationships.
11. Participate in analysis comparison, sales direction and business prospect and member meetings.
12. Provide market insights and feedback to support the development of new treasury management products and services.
13. Ensure treasury management activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management standards.
14. Support proper documentation, due diligence, and onboarding processes for treasury management services.
15. Other duties as assigned.
