CNC Machinist/Saw Operator

Specific Responsibilities

• Operate CNC vertical machining centers with Fanuc controls.
• Prepare machinery for production by adjusting settings and ensuring proper calibration. Saw Cutting Operations.
• Ability to read blueprints; inspect from blueprints; use various measuring devices.
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency, detect malfunctions, and maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and detect any defects.
• Adhere strictly to company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Record production data, such as output, materials used, and downtime.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
• Set up equipment (e.g., stops, guides, blade installation) and operating machinery to cut stock to specific dimensions.
• Select, inspect, and move raw materials to the saw using forklifts and overhead/jib crane.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances; inspect from blueprints; use various measuring devices.
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency, detect malfunctions, and maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubricating, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment, including changing dull or broken blades.
• Measuring finished pieces to verify accuracy, check for defects, and meet design specifications. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy, including removing all burs and sharp edges.
