We are seeking a visionary Senior Part-Time Designer to spearhead our creative initiatives and make a tangible impact on our mission. In this pivotal role, you'll own the visual storytelling for our rapidly expanding outreach efforts, from engaging online events to exciting new merchandise, directly connecting with supporters and amplifying our cause. Your creative leadership will be instrumental in shaping our visual identity across diverse platforms, ensuring every piece of communication is compelling, consistent, and deeply resonant.



  • Nonprofit experience or passion a plus
  • Must have experience working with large-scale event print designs and marketing collateral
  • This is a temporary, ongoing opportunity, requiring 10-20 hours per week
  • Fully remote, must be able to align to East Coast work hours


**What You'll Do:**

* Design and produce a wide array of engaging materials, such as impactful signage, promotional items, informative handouts, creative props, dynamic social media content, and compelling website visuals.

* Develop fresh, fun, and engaging ideas for merchandise, including T-shirts and other promotional swag, to captivate our audience.

* Create exceptional vector art and illustrations that seamlessly align with and evolve our established brand illustration style.

* Accurately prepare and prep files for print production, collaborating closely with an internal production team to ensure flawless execution.

* Proactively manage project needs, clearly define scope, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality assets that exceed expectations.

* Collaborate effectively with internal teams and potentially other freelance designers, fostering a cohesive creative environment.

* Efficiently utilize project management and file management systems to streamline workflow and maintain organization.

**What You'll Bring:**

* 5+ years of experience as a Senior Designer or Art Director, evidenced by a strong portfolio showcasing relevant and impactful work.

* Exceptional proficiency in vector art and illustration, with a demonstrated ability to replicate, adapt, and evolve existing brand styles.

* Proven experience in merchandise design, specifically including T-shirts and various promotional swag.

* Expert-level command of standard design programs within the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

* A strong understanding of print specifications and a meticulous approach to preparing accurate print-ready files.

* Demonstrated experience in creating effective digital marketing assets.

* The ability to quickly learn and rigorously adhere to established brand guidelines.

* A proactive, self-motivated approach, with a strong capability for taking full ownership of projects from inception to completion.

* Excellent communication skills for quick, effective daily interactions.

* Ability to be available during standard business hours (9 AM - 6 PM).

* Must utilize your own professional equipment.

* Experience working with non-profit organizations a plus
