Accessibility Admin Support

Our higher education client is looking for an accessibility administrator to help with a short term project:

• Start = within the next 2 weeks
• Duration = at least 2.5 weeks, 40 hours per week
• Fully remote, working in your timezone

We are required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA digital compliance for Academic institutions, as mandated by the federal government by April 24.

We have embedded video instances across our-owned websites which need support (I'd classify it as more administrative, not unique to a video professional skillset).

The ask:

• Estimating we'll need about 100 hours from a contractor, to start
• Workflow: our team would supply a spreadsheet which outlines 'fixes' to address:

    99% accurate closed captioning (can be accomplished via auto-caption directly in YouTube, then humanly checked for accuracy); longer videos may require rev.com support but majority can be accomplished as previously mentioned.

  • Audio description (file generated using ViddyScribe, then uploaded to the original YouTube video)
  • Our team will prioritize the list for the contractor. We're aiming to accomplish as much as we can ahead of the compliance deadline.
