Summary

It is the responsibility of the Mortgage Production Coordinator to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. Functions include entering loan data specific to residential mortgage loans into the Loan Operating System (LOS), handling any applicable updates of said information, and assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy. Maintains compliance with SouthState Bank Corporate Code of Conduct and Ethics, all anti-money laundering guidelines, regulatory requirements, and all other applicable operating procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and courteous support to the residential Loan Officer and Loan Processor

  • Order third party verifications of employment

  • Order DataVerify Drive Report, tax transcript verification, SSA validation

  • Order information required for government loans as applicable (e.g., Agency Case Numbers, CAIVRS, Certificate of Eligibility, etc.)

  • Review Borrower Summary fields and 1003/URLA to verify information is in the system, accurate and signed

  • Review notes from the Loan Officer Submission Page and follow any instructions specific to the Loan miscellaneous tasks of the loan manufacturing process

  • Compare 1003/URLA, credit report and ID for consistency

  • Review eFolder to verify inclusion of: All signed disclosures; AUS findings; Income / Asset docs per the loan type; Sales Contract (purchase transactions); Plans / Specs (construction loans); Valid ID

  • Review File Contacts and enters any additional as applicable

  • Check to see if the selected title company is on internal exclusionary list. Order title pursuant to current directive, making sure to include all applicable parties on the order

  • Complete the Notice of Intent Date within Disclosure Tracking

  • Review loan lock status and verify if a change in circumstance is needed

  • Review flood cert and notifies processor if Change in Circumstance is needed for flood premium

  • Create profile within Navigator on all loans

  • Add notes to conversation log for processor and sends summary email of items completed and for issues discovered during loan boarding

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent/college degree preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Some experience in an office environment

Licenses & Certifications

  • Working knowledge of Encompass LOS preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic computer skills

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

  • Office: This position reports to a physical Company location, and the setting will be a typical office environment.

  • Remote or hybrid: For remote or hybrid positions, a secure and distraction-free setting is required, with a reliable internet connection (cable or fiber preferred, mobile hotspots not acceptable). Hybrid positions will report to a physical Company location, as directed by the manager, and that setting will be a typical office environment.
