Software Delivery Engineer - Brake Controls

Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid: Onsite Mon-Thurs, Remote Fri)

Pay: $42.31 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Software Delivery Engineer to support brake controls software development, calibration, and release management within an advanced automotive environment. This role focuses on software delivery lifecycle management, quality assurance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure the successful deployment of vehicle control systems.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage brake controls software delivery, including timing, supplier coordination, and OTA updates
  • Guide suppliers through the Global Product Development System (GPDS) and requirement signoff
  • Execute software change management processes, including release documentation and validation
  • Support driver assist features and vehicle network communications (CAN, OTA, E2E, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and quality issues
  • Support HiL testing, prototype builds, and end-of-line (EOL) implementation
  • Lead Software Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and ensure ASPICE compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software and system integration issues
  • Participate in Agile software development processes



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2+ years of experience in software delivery management or design release engineering
  • Experience in chassis or powertrain control systems
  • Strong knowledge of software quality, issue resolution, and validation processes
  • Familiarity with vehicle network communication (CAN) and supplier management
  • Experience with FMEA, system analysis tools, or modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
