Software Validation Engineer - Automotive / Infotainment Testing

Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)

Pay: $42.31 per hour

We are seeking a Software Validation Engineer to support automotive software testing and validation for high-profile infotainment and vehicle systems. This role focuses on test automation, requirements validation, and defect management in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into detailed test cases and validation plans
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated software tests
• Build and maintain test automation scripts using Python (OOP)
• Perform testing in multi-ECU environments and vehicle-level test setups
• Utilize test management and defect tracking tools (Jira) for execution and reporting
• Analyze test results, track key metrics, and ensure software quality and compliance
• Identify, document, and monitor defects through resolution
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and Agile workflows
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers on integration and validation activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in software testing and requirements validation
• 2+ years of Python programming experience (object-oriented)
• Strong experience with test automation, test case design, and execution
• Proficiency with Jira and software testing tools
• Knowledge of vehicle network architecture and infotainment systems preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Android Automotive, cloud/AI testing, and BDD frameworks
• Familiarity with software architecture, CI/CD, and configuration management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
