Your Contribution
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on production machinery, robotics, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues under supervision.
- Replace simple components such as sensors, switches, bearings, belts, and actuators.
- Support machine startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
- Can run machines in "Manual" mode without production worker participation.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting using manuals, diagrams, diagnostic tools, and supervisor guidance.
- Document equipment issues, repairs, and parts used in the maintenance system (CMMS).
- Escalate complex malfunctions to senior technicians or maintenance leads.
- Assists production team as machines are brought "on-line" after a maintenance function.
- Assist in equipment calibration and alignment.
- Perform routine checks to ensure machines meet operational and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, rootcause analysis, kaizen).
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Identify potential hazards and report them promptly.
- Perform and manage site hazardous waste activities. This includes the clean-up and disposal of waste from production processing equipment, as well as the waste disposal machines and piping. This also includes the labeling, inspection, and movement of waste containers on the property.
- Perform basic welding functions including brazing, and soldering. Drill holes in electrical panels and cut and paint metal bracketry.
- Layout route, bend, install rigid conduit, flexible conduit and wiring in accordance with the NEC (National Electric Code). Install copper, PVC, and PEX piping as needed.
- Obtain and operate certifications to operate machinery (i.e. forklift, scissor lift, and arial boom lift.
- Clean-up work area and tools to make area "production" ready at the completion of assigned tasks, this includes all areas of the shop and storeroom as well.
- Use tablets to access and close Work Orders generated in SAP/Opra. Order parts in SAP.
- Train "inexperienced" mechanics, electricians, and mechatronic employees to your skill level.
- Complete all jobs that are assigned and proactively communicates problems, missing parts, broken tools, etc. to leadership.

- B.S. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Discipline +2 years of experience OR A.S. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Discipline + 4 years of experience OR High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); certificate from college or technical school; + 6 years of related experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose both electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to all levels of management and employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and measurements. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry for power distribution, wire and breaker sizing.
- Must become Lockout/Tagout Qualified.
- Must become Hazardous Waste Qualified from Site EHS manager.
- Ability to articulate the difference between a "machine stop" and an "emergency stop" and when each should be used.
- Must become Certified in OSHA-10 Safety Course (General Industry)
- Must become Certified in "White" Belt Six Sigma qualified from accredited program
- Ability to use all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
