U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for the position of General Maintenance Technician for its King of Prussia, Pennsylvania location. The General Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of commercial building and office facilities. This role performs a wide range of general maintenance tasks across multiple trades to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including:
- Basic plumbing (fixture repairs, leak correction, drain clearing)
- Carpentry (minor repairs, door/frame adjustments, hardware installation)
- Caulking and sealing of building joints and fixtures
- Interior painting, patching, and surface preparation
- Spackling and drywall repairs
- Ceiling tile replacement and grid adjustments
- Carpet and flooring repairs
- Locksmith tasks (lock repair, keying, hardware replacement)
- Minor roof repairs and inspections (as assigned)
- Assist with HVAC system maintenance and repairs, including:
- Filter changes
- Belt adjustments/replacements
- Basic troubleshooting and support of mechanical systems
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems and spaces to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Utilize basic computer systems or mobile devices to:
- Receive and complete work orders
- Document maintenance activities
- Communicate updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of general maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic computer proficiency (work order systems, mobile devices, email)
