Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is currently seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our team in College Station, TX! The Quality Control Manager will participate in the coordination process and provide quality assurance monitoring and managing scopes of work for construction projects. This individual assists with management of all field operations for their assigned project(s). The ideal candidate must be able to read and understand both designs and specifications to effectively work with other personnel to produce coordinated work in compliance with the quality required by the contract documents and applicable codes.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Ensures that company standards, as outlined by Bartlett Cocke's Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs, are effectively implemented and provides notification to corporate management of quality problems.
  • Supports the program of continuous improvement at the project, which effectively measures performance, addresses deficiencies and prevents recurrence of problems.
  • Acts as a liaison with owner, local regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality control matters as required.
  • Reviews and approves project specific subcontractor quality control plans.
  • Performs, schedules and witness inspections/testing, as well as monitoring construction activities.
  • Participates in project reviews to assess the application and effectiveness of company standard operating procedures, sub-contractor processes and procedures and identifies any opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage in problem solving by bringing together technical experts, authorities having jurisdiction, assigning action items, documenting minutes and follow through to closure of project.
  • Reviews work for compliance, maintain updated contract documents, drawings, specifications, as-builts, request for information and approved submittals.
  • Develops punch lists, final inspection and acceptance.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction field experience.
  • Experience managing and administering quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Candidate must have a good understanding of construction codes and standards and the application of effective quality control techniques.



Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email, internet, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong working knowledge of project scheduling, phasing, sequencing, and plan review.
  • Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach working with both Client, subcontractors, etc.
