In this position the Research Technician 1 will support ongoing research projects, the goals of which are to understand how the immune system regulates protective and pathogenic antibody responses in the context of vaccination, infection, autoimmunity, allergies and kidney transplantation. The candidate would perform cellular immunology assays in conjunction with laboratory staff. In addition, the candidate will help to maintain animal colonies, research equipment and other tasks assigned by their manager. Prior experience in basic laboratory techniques and/or immunology assays is preferred. Proficiency in data collection, analysis and scientific software tools is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results and challenges is also required.

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Prior laboratory experience, either through academic coursework, internships, or employment 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and instruments used in research experiments.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and scientific software tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and challenges.
