Job Description:

Job Summary

The Production Control Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate documentation, reconciliation, and confirmation of production activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for reviewing batch record documentation, confirming production and work order completion, performing label reconciliation, and supporting compliance with FDA and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. The Production Control Coordinator serves as a critical link between production, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure manufacturing records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production confirmations within the system to verify completion of manufacturing activities.
  • Confirm work order completion and ensure alignment between physical production and system records.
  • Monitor production orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Review batch production records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to GMP documentation standards.
  • Identify documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrections with production and quality teams.
  • Ensure batch documentation is properly completed prior to submission to Quality Assurance.
  • Perform label reconciliation activities to ensure issued labels match quantities used and remaining inventory.
  • Investigate and document discrepancies related to labeling materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with documentation preparation and record maintenance for internal audits, regulatory inspections, and quality reviews.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation meets FDA documentation integrity requirements (ALCOA principles).
  • Maintain organized and accurate production documentation.
  • Support document retrieval for audits, investigations, and regulatory inspections.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production documentation accuracy.
  • Communicate discrepancies or process issues that could impact product quality or regulatory compliance.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated production environments preferred.
  • Experience with batch record documentation, production reporting, or ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and GMP documentation requirements preferred.
