We are currently seeking an Alarm Monitor - Team Lead to support our NSWC customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience. This role requires in-person support. Duties:
- Develop/track initial, annual and ongoing training for all Alarm Monitor personnel
- Develop/manage AMP shift schedule
- Manage employee time keeping
- Assists in training of all new AMPs
- Complete monthly status report
- Manage/Develop Standard Operating Procedures
- Liaison with base commander, emergency personnel, Crane Security, and other command leadership on issues and concerns associated with Alarm/Dispatch operations
- Track issues with alarms and make reports to the ESS Liaison Officer
- Ensure all Alarm Monitor/Dispatch equipment is working properly
- Monitors AMP performance and reports any concerns to the Program Manager
- Provide after-hours support to Alarm Monitors in an on-call status
- Attend exercise planning meetings and prepare Alarm Monitor evaluation form
- Attend Exercise briefs (prebrief, hotwash, debrief)
- Evaluate AMPs during exercises
- Provide After Action Review to outline areas of improvement and corrective action plans
- Review and update Standards Operation Procedures
- Maintain schedule of system/equipment updates and outages
- Ensure AMPs have information about power outages, system outages, gate closures, upcoming events etc
- Daily Activity Log checks to ensure documentation is being performed adequately
- Daily pass down checks to ensure pass down is happening correctly and outline areas of improvement or sustains
- Manage & conduct Alarm Monitor Certification program
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Desired Experience:
- Two (2) years performing similar duties described in the functional description.
- Familiarity with standard police and fire protection/prevention techniques and practices relating to various types of emergencies to enable individual to understand and relay information accurately during multi-agency response/recalls
- Operate communication equipment to include: radio console, portable radios, secure telephone equipment, and must be able to send electronic messages and alerts
- Clear and concise verbal and written communications
- Understanding of several duress codes and the knowledge to take the proper actions for unannounced alarms
- Must be Proficient in Windows computer system
- Must have a working knowledge of ESS (Electronic Security System): CCTV - Electronic Access Control System
- Must be available for twenty-four (24) hour recall and be willing to work shift work
- Must demonstrate a willingness to change shifts with limited notification
- Must participate in continuing education and training courses
- Must demonstrate oral and written (print and cursive) proficiency in the English language
