Position Title: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Architect Location: Hybrid with 2-3 day in Arlington, VA office Other Considerations: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required) POSITION SUMMARY As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Architect at Sprezzatura you will support a high-profile software development project in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will be expected to have a background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM development and administration. Responsibilities may include managing security, troubleshooting, and end-user support. This position will offer direct exposure to our core business with a focus on ensuring customer success with scalable solutions, processes, and applications. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, design, and operational readiness of Dynamics 365 Customer Experience (Customer Service, Omnichannel) solutions within the enterprise environment
- Serve as a core member of the D365 Customer Experience program, contributing to platform roadmap, capability maturity, and identification of functional and technical gaps
- Own the configuration and governance of D365 CE including security model, users, roles, business units, queues, routing, and Omnichannel configurations
- Architect and maintain case management, customer service workflows, SLAs, and Omnichannel engagement capabilities within Dynamics 365
- Design and oversee integrations between D365 CE and external systems, in-house applications, and enterprise data platforms, ensuring reliability and scalability
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full lifecycle of D365 CE solutions, including design, development, deployment, and sustainment
- Lead solution design sessions translating business requirements into scalable D365 Customer Experience architectures aligned with Microsoft best practices
- Guide implementation of customizations, plugins, workflows, and extensions within D365 CE to support customer service operations
- Ensure alignment of solutions with Microsoft recommended architecture patterns, release strategies, and platform constraints
- Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, security, and infrastructure to ensure successful delivery of D365-based solutions
- Support and guide the use of Power Platform capabilities (Power Apps, Power Automate) as extensions to D365 CE, ensuring proper governance and scalability
- Lead environment strategy and architecture across Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, and Production environments for D365 CE
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, documentation, and design governance across all D365 implementations
- Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and maintainability standards
- Act as an escalation point for complex production issues related to D365 Customer Experience applications and integrations
- Identify platform trends, limitations, and opportunities to improve customer experience capabilities and operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a computer discipline, or equivalent applicable experience
- 8+ years of Microsoft Dynamics experience
- Dynamics 365 CRM development experience with Microsoft Power platform experience as secondary
- Core Skills: D365 Customer Service, Javascript, Liquid, SQL, .NET, Power Apps, Dynamics CRM, Microsoft DataVerse (CDS), Power Automate, Power Pages
- Familiarity with Agile project management and sprint planning
- Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in design and development of Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases as the backend data storage model as a secondary.
WORKING CONDITIONS Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday (list any particular schedule). Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
