Vice President of Commercial Operations, Renewable Feedstocks

Job Summary

The Vice President of Commercial Operations, Renewable Feedstock is responsible for maximizing the value of Fats & UCO produced & originated at Darling's network of plants in North America .This involves taking a leadership role for the strategic direction, defining merchandising game plans, and tactical execution for Fats and Used Cooking Oil produced at Darling's operations and originated from 3rd parties across North America. The Vice President of Commercial Operations, Renewable Feedstocks is expected to successfully manage the commercial relationship between Darling and it's joint venture Diamond Green Diesel.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Efficient Risk Management, merchandising, position reporting, and execution of Darling's North American Fats and UCO positions
• Leads the execution of DAR origination efforts for Diamond Green Diesel including working with Valero compliance on certification requirements and exploration of new streams
• Manages the North American renewable feedstock compliance program and team for the various global renewable fuel programs (EPA, LCFS, ISCC, CFR...)
• Communicates across the network of Darling's facilities to originate the raw material and produce the fat qualities and certification that brings the highest value
• Establishes a commercial gameplan and aligns with the regional teams on raw material procurement and operations decisions
• Anticipates and provides estimates of monthly Fat P&L across North America
• Provides updates to Executive Team and Board or Directors
• Executes Energy Procurement Strategy and Reporting for North America
• Leads the communication of market intelligence to various stakeholders globally
• Effectively manages direct reports of North American Renewables Team
• Manages sales department administration including Sales Managers and Sales execution employees and any related assets utilized by Darling Trading
• Represents the organization at conferences, meetings, and trade shows or at regional or national offices
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of the industry and liaises with specialized colleagues for expert advice on financial, legal, and regulatory issues
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration Required
• 7+ years of experience in commodity merchandising and or sales management

• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent math skills, including statistical analysis.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
• Self-motivated; self-starter; extroverted personality.
• Work well with all levels of the corporation
