Job Summary
The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures for a cloud-based energy usage portal. This role supports the delivery of customer-facing solutions that enable property owners and managers to track and manage energy consumption data. The Solutions Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, guide development efforts, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The position requires strong expertise in system integration, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices. Job Responsibilities
Design and evaluate technical solutions, considering risks, costs, scalability, and performance.
Lead application architecture design and oversee the full software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Develop models, wireframes, and prototypes to support application design and user experience.
Break down architectural designs into actionable tasks for development teams.
Ensure applications are designed, developed, and tested efficiently and effectively.
Present technical designs and recommendations to executives, stakeholders, and project teams.
Design and implement system and platform integrations, including APIs and external data sources.
Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, and performance.
Research and recommend emerging technologies to support innovation and business goals.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, integration processes, and testing procedures.
Update project tracking tools and maintain alignment with development workflows.
Support and mentor team members on coding standards, design principles, and best practices.
Job Requirements and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, including system and platform integration.
Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing customer-facing applications.
Proficiency with modern technology stacks, including APIs, Microsoft Cloud, .NET, Angular, SQL databases, Cosmos DB, and AI technologies.
Experience with software development and system administration.
Strong knowledge of IT frameworks, cloud architecture, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Experience designing and building integrations between internal systems and external applications.
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, SDLC, DevOps, and SAFe methodologies.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence decisions and guide cross-functional teams.
Experience working with vendor solutions and complex system environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analytics and data-driven solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver high-quality customer-focused solutions.
