Position Summary

The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electromechanical sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This role requires hands-on experience performing IPC-compliant crimping, soldering, and hardware installation while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the production process. The assembler will also perform inspections, continuity checks, and rework activities to support both production and development assemblies.

Key Responsibilities




  • Perform IPC-compliant crimping, soldering, and wiring for electromechanical assemblies



  • Install hardware components including screws, bolts, and nuts



  • Route wires of various gauges on electromechanical sub-assemblies



  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to create accurate assembly layouts



  • Operate hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and torque equipment during assembly processes



  • Conduct continuity checks on work-in-progress and completed assemblies



  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production tasks in accordance with specifications



  • Conduct in-process quality inspections to ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing standards



  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies during development or troubleshooting phases



  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety procedures




Required Qualifications




  • High school diploma or equivalent



  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electromechanical assembly experience



  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, industrial, or automotive manufacturing environments




Required Skills




  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2-4 years experience)



  • Experience working with IPC-A-610 standards (2-4 years experience)



  • Experience with crimping, soldering, and wiring electromechanical assemblies



  • Familiarity with mechanical hardware installation and torque tools



  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
