Job Purpose

This opening is for an analyst position within the Credit & Collections department of National Grid. Credit & Collections falls within the Revenue Cycle Management organization, a part of the Finance Services group.

The position will report to the Credit & Collections manager of Compliance, serving under the director of Credit & Collections.

The successful candidate will work primarily with the Liens & Legal group, which seeks to secure debt through legal measures. The successful candidate will also ensure that all processes and policies within Revenue Cycle Management comply with regulations surrounding legal actions, such as bankruptcy, receivership, and estate management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Collect and maintain group operational data.
  • Prepare responses to requests for group data.
  • Prepare regulatory and legal documents.
  • Monitor operational practices for compliance with regulations, laws, and company policies.
  • Oversee revisions to operational policies and procedures.
  • Work with external vendors.
  • Work with other Revenue Cycle Management departments.
  • Prepare company communications.
  • Prepare reports in MS-Word, MS-Excel, and/or MS-PowerPoint.
  • Write and execute data queries.
  • Manage the daily workflow of the group's operational processes.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and remedy interruptions in process volume or quality.
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • A two- or four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience in the utility or energy industry is preferred.
  • Experience in credit & collections is strongly preferred.

Capability Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of MS-Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, including learning new software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and analysis.
  • Demonstrated dependability and professional interpersonal awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others.
  • Greater technical expertise.

More Information
Salary
$84,000 - $98,000 a year
National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistical-based
