Position Summary: Under limited supervision, the Coordinator of Intramurals and Recreation provides leadership, vision, and oversight for a comprehensive intramurals and recreation program designed to promote student engagement, physical wellness, and inclusive recreation. The position manages daily operations, develops programs, supervises staff, and collaborates with campus partners to enhance student life.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage intramural leagues, tournaments, and special events
- Oversee facility scheduling, equipment inventory, and event logistics
- Implement safety and risk management protocols
- Recruit, train, hire, supervise, and evaluate student staff
- Manage program budget, purchasing, and resource allocation
- Track participation, facility usage, and incident reports
- Maintain equipment inventory, coordinate repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Assist in developing and implementing a marketing plan to promote intramural and recreational sports to the University community and increase participation
- Partner with campus departments to promote wellness and engagement
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.

- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing recreational or intramural programming.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex assignments while maintaining accurate records

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Work is performed both inside during normal work hours in a non-smoking facility and outside during the academic year as scheduled
- Evening and weekend hours will be required to cover scheduled events
