POSITION TITLE: S pring Grinder
LOCATION: Beaver Dam, WI
SHIFT: 2 nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
PAY RANGE : $19.00 - $24.00 / hour
JOB SUMMARY :
Sets up and operates spring grinding machines. Installs and adjusts new grinding wheels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Places springs into grinder and monitors to obtain a proper grind..
  • Inspects springs from properly ground ends and checks for desired length.
  • Cleans machines and performs minor maintenance.
  • Assists less experienced operators in selection of tooling and operation of equipment.
QU ALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or when necessary on the job training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, plant rules and policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or machining operating/set up environment a plus.
