Clinical Pharmacist - Medicine/Cardiology ( four 10 hour evening schedule) At UVA Health, clinical pharmacists are not peripheral to patient care. They are trusted clinical partners at the bedside, embedded in interdisciplinary teams, and deeply involved in complex decision making for some of the sickest patients in the region. This Medicine/Cardiology evening position offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a nationally recognized academic medical center while maintaining a highly desirable four 10 hour evening schedule. This role is designed for pharmacists who thrive in fast paced inpatient environments, value collaboration with cardiology and medicine teams, and want their clinical expertise to meaningfully influence patient outcomes during critical evening hours. The Role As a Clinical Pharmacist supporting Medicine and Cardiology services during evening shifts, you will be a key clinical resource for providers, nurses, and patients across the inpatient setting. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required. Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas. Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly.
